The Hexer - The Eternal Fire II: A Lesser Evil
"The wicked Forefather Kreve had pushed the ponies toward the city of brick, Novigrad. It was abandoned, little knew who previously occupied the hold. A strange glow emitted from one of the palaces, in it was a goblet of fire and a strange being. The guardian stated that it had a single job, to keep the fire going for an eternity. But alas, this prophet grew old and wanted to die in peace. The followers of the wicked skygod Kreve had raped and murdered those who were left behind in the initial retreat. Brave colonists came together, both pegasus and earth pony - they worked together to keep the fire going for the guardian told them before he disappeared: 'Guard this fire and for as long as it is kept burning, you and your kin shall survive even the harshest of conflicts. Monster and Equine.' The forces under Kreve were instantly humbled when they entered the temple and began to worship the Eternal Fire, as they knew it was a sign of divinity that would save them from the monsters th
Iorveth and Yrdenne, Chapter 6: A New Beginning
The spring night sky over Oxenfurt was starlit. Three young humans exited the tavern, a wave of music gushed out of the door with them. All three were students of the academy, they laughed joyfully. “The theatre piece was amazing” one of them said. It was a young woman with long black hair, eyes as dark as the night and her skin had the colour of copper, she wore a vibrant red dress. “Truly, Callonetta is one of the most gifted bards of our time!” her friend agreed. The young man was tall and slender, and his shoulder-long hair was of a dark ash brown. When he talked about theatre and ballads his blue eyes were sparkling.
“To be honest, I still prefer the work of Dandelion”, the third person said. She was tall, with a waist long hazel braid and hazel eyes. She didn´t wear a dress, but laced leather pants, a simple white linen shirt and a green bodice. “Seriously, I have no idea what you like about him", the young man snorted. Laughin
The Hexer - The Eternal Fire: Lost to the Ages
"After the Conjunction of Spheres, equine would eventually encounter the Elven Deer of the Everfree - whose ancestors came to this plane of existence by white ships that sailed through a fog from an invisible ocean. The Deer were overcame and in distraught with how their art and culture may be abused, they destroyed the once beautiful civilization they lived in. Pony colonialism nearly wiped them all out, forcing the few that remained to live in non-equine districts within the cities or on reservations. The Deer had two options, to either assimilate or die. In the past few decades, some of the elven leaders decided it would be better to create the Third Option. These guerilla fighters, often hungry and delirious from living off of berries and nuts - are known as "Squirrels" or as said in Elder Speech, Scoi'tael. They sharpen their antlers and fasten them into bowed weapons, for firing projects such as bolts and arrows. Freedom fighters to some, demons to others."<
Blessed Beltane, dear friends!
Tonight is Beltane, or Walpurgisnacht, as we say in Germany, or Belleteyn in Elder speech.
As promised, here is the Belleteyn special about Yrdenne and her friends.
Unfortunately, it did not turn out as planned, I am not really happy with this chapter... But the other choice would have been no update at all today.
Therefore, I posted it anyway and I hope you are not disappointed!
To set the right mood, please have the adequate music:
[FAUN - Walpurgisnacht]
I highly recommend to watch the whole video, because.. well, you will get an idea about Belleteyn.
[Schandmaul - Walpurgisnacht]
No video, just random pictures... but the song is awesome
Partially, the atmosphere was inspired by this stunning drawing by ScribbledAway
This little story takes place some months after "Defeating the Fire", but I tried to a
– Mistrz Jaskier, prawda? – spytała, a poeta odwrócił się w jej stronę, nieco przestraszony.
– Owszem, to ja. A ty… – zaczął i zlustrował ją wzrokiem. Długie, słomkowe włosy opadały jej na kształtne piersi. Ubrana była w strojną suknię. Miała piękny, śpiewny, acz nieoczywisty głos. I to właśnie ją zdradziło. – Musisz być P
A little room was almost completely dark. The only source of light was a candle standing on a desk, which illuminated the room really poorly, so the man poring over papers was in the penumbra. His fair hair was reflecting the flame, becoming somehow goldish itself. A woman who entered the room smiled with amusement, seeing this, and approached the desk gracefully.
“Master Dandelion, right?” she asked. The poet turned his head, scared a bit.
“Indeed. And you...” he started and gazed at her attentively. She had long, canary hair and sky blue eyes and was in an adorned dress. But what gave the game away was her voice, beautiful and melodious, albeit vague. “Must be Priscilla, if I’m not mistaken.”
She giggled and took a step towards the desk.
“Exactly. I wanted to wish you good luck before the contest, because I assure you, you’ll need it.”
“Most appreciated, my dear,” he said, furling the papers c
[Art trade] Cirilla and Eredin - After the battle
This is a short story I wrote for Dear Elisabethianna She asked me for a Scene between Ciri and Eredin - and seriously, how could I resist? Ciri and Eredin are one of my faourite pairings in the Witcher Universe! And, I have to admit, this got even worse while I wrote this The story takes place after the Battle of Kaer Morhen. As you see, I did not stick completely to the game and fixed one little thingie... Please enjoy!
The night sky was cloudless and covered in stars. Avallac'h lay on a bed, breathing heavily in his sleep, exhausted by the battle. All the others were downstairs, celebrating the momentary victory and mourning the death of a beloved friend. Everyone, except of Ciri.
Ciri stood at the window, staring at the court of Kaer Morhen. It was still covered in snow, but the thick white blanket could not hide the signs of the battle. She saw the shattered gate, the debris
Iorveth and Yrdenne, Chapter 5
The winter was white and cold and silent. Snow covered the land like a thick blanket, damping every sound. From time to time Isdriel and Yaedreth came to the stud, but they had no news about Iorveth. He had left more than half of his Scoia´tael behind, and Eardreth was in command now. Yrdenne often sat at a window, searching the edge of the forest for someone to come, even though she knew it would not be him. At least once a week she took her bow to wipe off the dust and to try if she could still draw it. One time she even shot arrows across the hallway, but Marianne caught her.
When finally the snow thawed and the snowdrops sprouted, Yrdenne became excited. Soon Iorveth must be back! As the temperatures got warmer, she started training again. Ostara passed, and then Beltane, but still no news from Iorveth. But rumours spread about the upcoming war. The actions of the Scoia´tael became more and more brutal and violent, but also totally random against the military and normal c
